We have stood for sustainability and the circular economy since our foundation. These aspects are part of our corporate DNA and are not isolated, but are integrated into all corporate activities.
With the production of our re-refined base oils, we make a significant contribution to reducing CO2 emissions. We do not claim anything that we do not actually achieve. The study on our savings compared to primary refining was carried out by an internationally recognised research institute (ifeu Heidelberg) in accordance with ISO standards 14040:2006 and ISO 14044:2006. We have also had the results of this study independently verified once again. DEKRA, an independent testing institute, has checked the calculations and confirmed and certified the accuracy and results. This means that we and our business partners can be sure that the savings we report are scientifically proven.
In addition to reducing our emissions at product level, it is also very important to us to reduce our CO2 emissions as a company as much as possible. As we do not want to claim anything here that we cannot achieve, we - like the EU in its draft Green Claims Directive - consider terms such as "climate neutral" to be misleading. We are of the opinion that completely climate-neutral production, taking into account all influencing factors, cannot or can only very rarely be realised. Rather, we understand that emissions should be reduced as far as possible before compensation measures are taken.
