2025 was a year full of progress, team spirit and strategic development for AVISTA OIL. A strong sign of this is the expansion of our tanker fleet: 16 new tankers were registered in Germany this year and will strengthen our logistics and service quality in the future.
The start of 2025 began at our Dollbergen site with our New Year's raffle for a good cause and our participation in NextLub 2025. In February, we presented ourselves at the ‘beruf&bildung’ career fair in Hanover and introduced our new youth and trainee representatives at the Dollbergen site. We were also represented at the ICIS and Argus conferences.
A special highlight followed in March: the first public factory tour, during which external guests were given exciting insights into our refinery in Dollbergen. In addition, the annual general meeting of the Dollbergen factory fire brigade took place and we were present at the career fair in Burgdorf.
April was all about togetherness – with a retirement reception for our pensioners, a trainee day in the Harz Mountains and two visits from the local fire brigade. At the same time, we launched our new video format ‘AVISTA OIL in demand’ and were represented at the UNITI Mineral Oil Technology Forum.
n May, we collected kilometres for climate protection during the City Cycling campaign and took part in the Maypole Festival at the Uetze natural swimming pool. June sent a strong signal for sustainability with the waste collection campaign for World Environment Day and the conclusion of the City Cycling campaign. This was followed in July by the Steps Challenge in Dollbergen, which raised awareness of exercise and health.
The summer saw the publication of our 2024 greenhouse gas emissions and the start of training for three new apprentices. In September, we took part in the Lubricant Expo, visited the Onion Festival in Uetze and welcomed 32 Vietnamese lubricant experts to Dollbergen.
In October, intern Jonas supported the laboratory and engineering departments at the Dollbergen site for twelve weeks. November saw a number of important milestones: the acquisition of MAIN B.V. in the Netherlands, participation in the ACI European Base Oils & Lubricants Summit, training for our national AVISTA partners and a visit from an auditor from Malaysia for the SIRIM audit.
At the end of the year, we held the ‘AVISTA BLACK WEEK’ campaign for our lubricant customers. A particularly emotional moment was our Christmas party with the theme ‘Childhood Heroes’, which brought back many fond childhood memories for many.
We look back with gratitude on a strong 2025 – and look forward with great anticipation to an eventful 2026.
We at AVISTA OIL wish you a restful holiday season and a pleasant New Year.
